The University-wide Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will occur on Sunday, May 3, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Acrisure Stadium. Graduates and guests are encouraged to arrive as doors open, which will be at 2 p.m., to allow ample time for seating.
While the Pittsburgh Marathon will occur earlier in the day, it will not impact travel to and from Acrisure Stadium or the ceremony start time. Review the information below on how to navigate the city on Commencement Day.

Construction Impacts
Oakland is ever-evolving! Please refer to the Pitt Mobility website for up-to-the-day information regarding construction, road closures, etc.
Shuttle Service
- All university-owned lots on campus are free and open to public on May 3, beginning at 8 a.m.
- Free shuttle service will be offered for Commencement to take graduates and their guests to and from Acrisure Stadium. Buses depart from University Place (near Nordenberg Hall), beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until 3:30 p.m.

- Return service will be available back to campus to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum until one hour after the conclusion of the ceremony.
- ADA accessible shuttles are available and will drop guests off at the accessible drop off site at Acrisure Stadium, which is on North Shore Drive outside of Gate A.
- Shuttle staging area, including drop-off and pick-up, located outside of Gate C at Acrisure Stadium.

Other Transportation
- Guests staying downtown should use the light rail system called "the T". The T will drop off outside of Gate C and is free within the downtown area. Plan your trip with this helpful tool from PRT.
- Guests can park at Station Square and take two modes of transportation to Acrisure Stadium. First, travel one of the three rivers with the Gateway Clipper over and back. Drop off is right outside of Gate A. Additionally, the T also will take guests from Station Square to Acrisure Stadium. The T will drop off outside of Gate C.
- Due to the Pittsburgh Marathon, Port Authority buses will be running on a modified schedule. Be sure to check the PRT detours page for more information.
- Rideshare drop-off can be done anywhere around Acrisure. However, guests can use 4715 North Shore Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 should their service require it.
Parking
Parking at Acrisure Stadium will be limited on Commencement Day. Graduates and guests are encouraged to utilize one of the many additional options above to find your best route to the stadium!

From 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Sunday, May 2, the area shaded in red will be completely closed off to traffic. If you are going to be in that area and may need to leave during that time, consider parking your car outside the area.
Due to one- way traffic patterns, the area around Oxford Centre (Shaded in blue) will be impossible to exit from 5:30 AM to 11:45 AM.
Use Bigelow Blvd. to access/escape the interior of the course.
