SPRING UNDERGRADUATE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

- WHY VOLUNTEER
Volunteering at commencement gives faculty and staff the opportunity to say farewell to the students they have watched grow over the past years and allows students to see their fellow classmates become Pitt graduates. Read more below for added benefits to helping the Office of Special Events on Sunday, May 3.
- WHO CAN VOLUNTEER
Any faculty, staff, student or student group can sign up to volunteer.
- WHAT ARE THE DETAILS FOR VOLUNTEERING
- There are several shifts (both before and during the ceremony) for volunteers to get involved in.
- Volunteers can:
- Greet and seat graduates and faculty members
- Assist with wayfinding for students
- Assist during the ceremony with the name announcing process
- Provide overall event support
- All volunteers will receive:
- Virtual training the week of April 27
- Free parking for the ceremony
- Lunch provided the day of the ceremony
- Reserved seats at the ceremony for those who want to stay and watch.
