Invitation & Ceremony Registration

Invitation Information

  • All eligible candidates graduating between May 2025 and December 2025 will receive an invitation to attend the university-wide commencement ceremony.
  • Invitations will be sent by the Office of Special Events (commencement@pitt.edu) to the candidate's PITT email address the week of October 13, 2025.
  • You may search for the subject line: You're Invited! Winter Commencement Ceremony. Be sure to check your junk and spam folders.

RSVP Details

  • The invitation includes an RSVP link that must be completed. Candidates can select "Not Attending" within the registration application if they are opting not to attend and will not receive any further communication about the ceremony.
  • The deadline to register for the university-wide ceremony is Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6 p.m. Responses received after the deadline will not be accepted.
  • A confirmation email will be automatically sent upon successful registration.

Name Pronunciation

  • Candidates are required to record their name pronunciation via NameCoach by Friday, November 21, 2025, at Noon.
  • Instructions on how to record your name will be provided in the registration confirmation email.
